David Butler is an artist and jewelry designer. His paintings and jewelry are inspired from travels to southern beaches, low country marshes and estuaries, and the Southwest. He is a lifelong Floridian who now resides in Pensacola and Highlands, NC with his wife Mary. His daughter, Whitney is a well-known wrought iron artist. David’s formal education was in engineering and land surveying at University of Florida, but his real talent has always been in the arts.
Butler’s paintings are representative of his love for coastal settings, the subtle colors of low country estuaries and sun-drenched images of our beaches. He developed his painting style from courses at University of Florida and Pensacola State Collage.
His Jewelry features several collections of unique jewelry pieces. The one-of-a-kind art jewelry is representative of the natural world, in material as well as form. Incorporating elegant design and unexpected combinations of materials, whether pebbles on the shores along the Pacific Coast or turquoise from Native Americans of New Mexico and Arizona, each piece creates a connection with the bearer magical in both feelings and look.
