December 28th Art Night on the Bayfront

Come join us next Wednesday as we fill Avenida King Juan Carlos Promenade with art and music. Bring your family, friends, and associates as we wrap up the 2011 series of Art Night on the Bayfront. As always we will start at 4PM and since we have lighting we will still continue till about 8PM. You won’t want to miss this one since we will not have the event in January and February and will kick off the 2012 series with a large art and wine festival in March.

Our other series Art à la carte will continue throughout the year inside Jaco’s on the first Wednesday of every month. As a teaser, Tobbe Byrd will be our January featured artist for this series. You will definitely want to come check out her work!

Come join us down on the Bayfront!

Art Night and à la carte

Last Wednesday was a spectacular evening for Art Night on the Bayfront. The weather was great, we had 40 artists showing their work, musicians in 2 different locations and the sunset was art in itself.

This event will continue through the end of the year. The artists have their tents and lighting and are prepared to have their work on display till at least 8PM for both the November and December events.

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow night from 5-8PM inside Jaco’s for Art à la carte where you will have a chance to meet Novembers featured artist…

Jim Sweida

And sample this months Spirits from…

Chenin Blanc

Tropical fruit, guava and apple aromas. The bold sweet citrus falvours are backed by refreshing acidity and minerality, a characteristic of our coastal vineyards. A versatile food wine to go with most poultry, fish and salad dishes. Also fabulous as an aperitif for a hot summer afternoon. Serve chilled.

Shiraz

Distinctive aromas of ripe plum and pepper spices, mouth-filling sweet red-berry flavours and gentle tannins characterize this wine. A touch of Viognier was co-fermented with the Shiraz for the aromatic lift it gives to the wine, which emphasises the berry fruit and spice aromas on the nose. The American oak barrels give a hint of vanilla spice and contribute to the smooth silky tannins. Serve at a cool room temperature.

Wednesday October 26th Art Night on the Bayfront

Well the weather didn’t play nice last month but it will make this months event even better!

We have a great lineup of artists and they are all prepared to have lighting under their tents since it is getting dark a little earlier on us these days. Scott Novota with Strong Street Studio promises to have at least 150 of his glass pumpkins available for you and we know plenty of the other artists will be packed full of items for this season.

As always we will have music, artists, drinks and a beautiful sunset for you to enjoy. It is a little cooler these evenings but that won’t keep Condor Sailing Adventures away. They will have the DareII parked in the marina and will again offer a drawing for a sailing trip.

We will have several locations for you to get a beverage from our great sponsors.

Make sure you join us this Wednesday!

Tonight’s Event

Regrettably the weather forced us to cancel tonights event. The front moving in from Mobile looked to dangerous for the art and the participants to allow the event to go on. However please still come down and see us here at Jaco’s Bayfront Bar & Grille. Two of our musicians Nicole Ponder and Jessica Heit will be entertaining you under the souther canopy. Come give them a listen!

Make sure you come down next Wednesday, October 5th, for Art à la carte. Since it takes place in the restaurant the weather cannot be a factor. The featured artist will be Melody Hamilton. You can check out her profile on the October Featured Artis page.
